Dr. Nilüfer Boysan-Dietrich
Nilüfer's affiliation to Japan was established, when her parents had their diplomatic assignment in Tokyo. She was seven years old. The Japanese impressions left significant influence on her cognitive development. After Tokyo, Nilüfer lived in Ankara and New York and finally planted root in Munich, Germany. She studied Ancient Near Eastern Languages and Linguistics at the University of Würzburg. The intercultural mindset was something innate to Nilüfer, and it was not surprising, that she chose this path to become intercultural trainer. She was one of the founding members of SIETAR Germany. Nilüfer not only brought numerous leaders and international teams to intercultural awareness, but helped them to achieve positive dynamic in the 'critical' situation they often had. It is also a natural development, that she gained more and more consciousness in leading with mindfulness. She is currently undergoing a Trainer education of MBSR (Mindful-Based-Stress-Reduction) to become a qualified instructor at the renowned Benediktushof (Centre of Meditation and Mindfulness), in Holzkirchen/Unterfranken, Germany. Mindfulness in intercultural communication, at the moment, is the most-talked-about topic amongst the pioneers of this field. Nilüfer will provide MBSR courses combined with intercultural experience and knowledge from 2020.
